I've never been one to dwell too much on the obvious high-profile landmarks and subjects that you see on postcard racks all over the place, though I enjoy doing some of those, too.  I like to get as much right in the camera as possible and am not usually a big fan of altering an image drastically in the computer afterward, though I am getting used to the idea of "finishing" a photo as a necessary part of the overall process.  How I like to describe my work is that I like to "pull the extraordinary out of the ordinary". In other words, take a common scene or subject and bring forth something that is usually overlooked.

Shooting people is not my forté, nor is anything with a flash as I prefer to work with natural light and shadows. I maintain that I will never... ever... shoot a wedding.  I've even thought of naming my business "Anything-But-People Photography".

Yet, in spite of all the different directions I've grown since I caught "The Bug", my first passion is still my #1... night and low-light photography.  City-scapes, sunrises, sunsets, silhouettes, and so on. Nothing 'pops' like a good night scene.

Anyway, I've rambled on enough here. Sit back, kick your shoes off, and enjoy.
